Two days of the Hardin Junior Championship

Day One
19 Teams teed it up for the Pro/Junior event on a beautiful Monday afternoon at Westborough Country Club. The course was in spectacular condition. The Bellerive team consisting of Head Pro Branden Veld, along with his team of Cooper Benedict, Henry Mikula and Thorton Walker
shot an outstanding 12 Under Par to capture the Hardin Team trophy with a total of 130.

Forest Hills had two team, and their second team of Asst Pro Matt Swanson, and Junior Ryan Walsh, Trip Sanfelippio, and Bobbie Whiting shot 133, at 9 Under. The Mixed team, headed by Westborough Head Pro Jimmy Bals, along with Ivo Gomez de segura (Algonquin) Patrick
Ringwald (Fox Run) and Blake Mazzola f(Forest Hills) finished third, shooting 134, tied the Whitmoor #1 team of Pro Dan “Bummer” Barry, Ian Blome, and brothers Lee and Austin Jacobs. In the Individual Stroke play for Day One, in the 11 and Under Division, Sage Bradshaw (Forest Hills) shot 39 to lead that nine hole Division. In the 12-13 Yr Old Division, Austin Jacobs
(Whitmoor) led the way, shooting a 6 Over 77, followed by Charlie Kramer (Greenbriar Hills), carding a 9 over 80. In the 14-15 Yr. Old Division, Ryan Walsh (Forest Hills) shot a 2 Under 69 to lead the way in their Division. Blake Skornia (Algonquin) and John Guerra (Old Warson) tied for second, shooting 73. In the 16-18 Yr. Old Division, Cooper Benedict (Bellerive) and Blake Mazzola shared first place with a 1 Over 72, while Henry Mikula (Bellerive) and Ian Blome (Whitmoor) carded 73.

Day 2

In the 11 & Under Division, Sage Brad Bradshaw (Forest Hills) shot a spectacular 1 Under Par 34 to run away with the championship in his Division.

Kolton Kijanko (Whitmoor) finished second and Timmy Siebenman (Westborough) finished third. In the 12-13 Yr. Old Division, Dominic Mazzola (Forest Hills) won medalist honors, shooting a two day total of 159.

One stroke behind was Charlie Kramer (Greenbriar Hills), at 160, and Owen Farley (St. Louis Country Club) finished third at 161.
In the 14-15 Yr. Old Division, Trip Sanfelippo (Forest Hills) edged out his Forest Hills teammate Ryan Walsh, shooting a two day total of 146, beating Walsh by one stroke.

There was a third place tie between Trey Rusthoven (Old Hickory) and John Guerra (Old Warson), with both shooting a two day total of 150. And in our Championship Division (16-18 Yr. Old), Ian Blome, a 15 Yr Old from Whitmoor and Winghaven, requested to play in the Championship Division and captured the 2019 Hardin Championship, with a two day total of 142, beating fellow Winghaven member Drew Barclay,
who shot 144.

Tied for third were Cooper Benedict (Bellerive) and Blake Mazzola (Forest Hills), shooting 150. And presenting the Hardin Trophy to Ian was Tripp Hardin, grandson of Hord Hardin, who was the longtime USGA President, and Chairman of Augusta National.
