Old Hickory Wins The Geiss

A great day, a great venue, and a great field for this year’s re-scheduled Jack Geiss Two Man
Championship at beautiful Quincy Country Club. Because of conflicting local golf events on
Sunday, May 6, the field was limited to 14 teams. But those 14 teams played some great golf.
The team of Dan Emrick and Adam Stamper, from Old Hickory Golf Club, started with a pair of
birdies, with Emrick driving the 300 yard Par 4 first hole. They finished with a great 4 Under Par
66 to capture the championship. The local favorites, Ryan Schuenke and Trent Lepper, from
Quincy Country Club, were close behind the Old Hickory team. Schuenke lipped out a putt on
18, which would have been a birdie to tie the Old Hickory team. Quincy finished tied for second,
posting a 67. The Meadowbrook team of Dan Kelley and Brett Meeske, also posted a 67 to tie
the Quincy team.
