Bohme Claims His First Cochran Mid-Am

Bryan Bohme (Meadowbrook Country Club) captured the Dennis P. Walters Trophy at
the 2026 Bob Cochran Mid-Am on Monday, May 11, at Bogey Hills Country Club.
In the one-day, 36-hole championship, Bohme opened with a 73, sitting two shots behind
first-round leader Michael Becker (Glen Echo Country Club), who posted an even-par 71.
Drew Pranger (Glen Echo Country Club) held third place after an opening-round 74.
Bohme remained steady in the afternoon, firing an even-par 71 to secure the title. He held
off a strong charge from Brett Meeske (Meadowbrook Country Club), who carded the only
under-par round of the day—a 1-under 70—to finish three strokes back in second place.
Meeske had opened with a 77 and made a determined run but ultimately came up short.
Becker and Pranger both struggled in the tougher second-round conditions as winds
increased and the lightning-fast greens challenged the entire field.
Ryan Schuenke (Quincy Country Club), the 2025 champion, shot an opening-round 77 but
rebounded with an even-par 71 in the afternoon to finish in third place, four shots behind
Bohme. Jake Hackerson (Whitmoor Country Club) finished fourth, while Ryan McNeil
(Persimmon Woods Golf Club), Chris Kovach (Old Hickory Golf Club), and Matt Lewis
(Sunset Hills Golf Club) shared fifth place.
The Cochran is open to any district member age 25 or older. The top five finishers (including
ties) earned spots in the Jim Jackson Invitational, to be held October 11–12, 2026, at
Algonquin Country Club.

In the Net Division, Gordon Smith (Bogey Hills Country Club) claimed the title with an
even par 71. Justin Towell (Sunset Hills Country Club) finished second with a
one-over-par 72, while Chris George (Persimmon Woods Golf Club) and Jeff Myers (The
Legends Country Club) tied for third.
Bob Cochran was a past president of the St. Louis District Golf Association, a three-time
president of the Missouri Golf Association, and a 50-year member of both the Missouri

Fame and the Saint Louis University Hall of Fame. The Michelob Light LPGA Committee
honored him with the Judy Rankin Lifetime Achievement Award.
