Geiss Championship 2025

Justin Bryant and Sam Migdal (St. Louis Country Club) teamed for an 8-under par 63 to claim the 2025 Jack Geiss Two-Man Championship at Bellerive Country Club in Ladue on Thursday, April 17. Brian Lovett and Andy Frost (Bellerive Country Club) utilized their home course advantage to repeat as Senior Division champions at 6-under 65.

The annual one-day, 18-hole team competition has one team from each St. Louis District Golf Association (STLDGA) Member club in a four-ball format. The champions and runners-up automatically qualify for the Jim Jackson Invitational at Algonquin Golf Club in October.

Playing against a 23-team field, Bryant/Migdal were consistent throughout with five birdies on the front nine along with three birdies on the back with Bryant’s eagle on the par-5 No. 10 as the highlight of their day. The duo suffered only two bogeys along the way.

Michael Becker and Drew Pranger (Glen Echo Country Club) were runners-up at 5-under. They were in range of the leaders, but when both bogeyed at 15 and 16, time ran out.

Chase Whitaker and JC Wetzel (Old Watson Country Club) tied John Freund and Jamie Froedge (Algonquin Golf Club) for third at 4-under.

Lovett/Frost captured the 2024 Geiss in a dramatic playoff at Greenbriar Hills Country Club, but this year squeezed past Didier Villard and Dustin Ashby (Winghaven Country Club) by a stroke as Lovett/Frost surged on the back nine with five birdies. Villard/Ashby couldn’t recover as they both bogeyed No. 16.

Jack Eisenbeis and Russell Brightman (St. Louis Country Club) finished third at 4-under in a 25-team field.

Bellerive has established itself as one of the premier venues for professional golf championships in the Midwest. Looking to the future, the BMW Championship will return to Bellerive in 2026. In 2030, Bellerive will host the 2030 Presidents Cup.
