2026 STLDGA Season Has Started!

If the opening event of the St. Louis District Golf Association’s (STLDGA ) 2026 season is any indication, the next six months are going to be filled with drama, excitement and thrills. Coming down the stretch of the Jack Geiss Two-Man Championship at Forest Hills Country Club in Chesterfield, Mo. on Thursday, April 23, four duos were within two strokes of the leaders on a blustery, warm summery day more suited for late June than late April. One two-man team represented each STLDGA Member club.

As Tyler Comerford and Mitchell Gilman (Sunset Hills Country Club) were patiently waiting in the clubhouse with the lead at 7-under-par in the Open Division’s 23-team field, Michael Becker and Drew Pranger (Glen Echo Country Club) had completed 13 holes at 5-under. Becker fired an eagle on the par-5 14th hole, and Pranger followed with another eagle on the par-5 17th hole to surge to a 2-shot triumph at 9-under 63.

Erik Peyton and Chris King (Lake Forest Golf & Country Club) rolled in a birdie on 18 to tie Comerford/Gilman at 7-under 65 for second place. Chad Niezing and Bryan Bohme (Meadowbrook Country Club) were three strokes off the pace in fourth, while Andrew Boudreaux and Ryan Schuenke (Quincy Country Club) finished four shots off the champions.

In the the 2025 Geiss Championship at Bellerive Country Club, St. Louis Country Club’s Justin Bryant and Sam Migdal  teamed for an 8-under 63 to claim the title. Teamed with Ross Millman this year, Migdal and Millman finished at 3-under 69, good for 8th.

In the Senior Division’s 21-team field, Skip Berkmeyer and David Pfeil (The Legends Country Club) swept to a 4-stroke triumph with a 7-under par 65. Berkmeryer and Pfeil shot a steady round, going 4-under on the front nine and 3-under on the back. Brian Lovett and Ed Dickinson (Bellerive Country Club) tied Nathan Calcari and Andy Acker (Glen Echo Country Club) at 3-under 69 for second place. Lovett and Andy Frost were the back-to-back reigning champions, but Lovett teamed with Dickinson this year.

Forest Hills Country Club is 60 years old and and has been recognized as the premier private country club in the West St. Louis area with members enjoying world-class golf and amenities within a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
