Britt Gets A Third Jackson

The 39th Jim Jackson Invitational Championship at Algonquin Golf Club featured weather that was cool, cloudy, and windy. This year’s field consisted of 36 players who qualified for the championship.

Day 1-Patrick Britt Norwood Hills Country Club a two-time  Jackson Champion shot an even par 69 and held a two shot lead over Chad Neizing Meadowbrook Country Club and also Jackson Champion shot a 2 over par 71. Pat O’Brien Norwood Hills Country Club and Kevin Jaeger Greenbrier Hills Country Club were 3 off the lead shooting  3 over par 72. There were several players shooting 4 over par 73 including defending Jackson Champion Jason Landry Greenbriar Hills Country Club.

Day 2- Justin Bryant St. Louis Country Club came out hot with 3 birdies on the first 4 holes en route to a 3 under par 66 and the only player to break par on Day 2.  Patrick Britt played steady all day and finished the day with a 1 over par 70 winning his third Jim Jackson Invitational. Justin Bryant finished the Championship in 2nd place while Jason Landry and Chad Niezing finished in a tie for 3rd place.
