defeated Brevin Giebler 4&2. Shawn Jasper defeated Michael Becker 2 Up, while Drew
Pranger outdualed Chris Kovach 2&1.

Semifinals

The Golf Gods were kind to both the players and the golf course, as we had various periods of
much needed rain for the golf course, but intermittent enough to allow us to get all the matches
done by mid afternoon.
Justin Bryant handled Peter Weaver 2 Up in the first semifinal match, while Shawn Jasper took
care of Drew Pranger 4&3 to set up the championship match.

We started the final match early in hopes of getting done without too much rain. We had
periods of dry time and some periods of light to moderate rain. Justin Bryant continued his
great play to defeat Jasper 5&3. Justin’s trophy shelf now includes both the Cochran Mid-Am
trophy and the Griesedieck trophy both in the same year. Congratulations Justin!

And many thanks to Director of Golf Joe Schwent, Co-Head Professionals Curt Goss and Zach
Potts and the entire team at Country Club of St. Albans for hosting an outstanding event. The
course was in awesome shape and the players loved it.

As always, thanks to our dedicated team of volunteer Rules Officials, who give up their time to
assist us simply for the love of the game and the opportunity to see some great golf.

See you next July at Glen Echo for the 104th playing of the Men’s Championship.
