Old Hickory Golf Club delivered another Chamber of Commerce Day to host this year’s Etzkorn
Pro 3 Senior Championship. 28 teams teed it up and it was a battle for both the team event
and the Pro Challenge.
In the team competition, Bellerive captured its fourth Etzkorn Championship. This year’s team
composed of Pro Mike Tucker, and teammates Andy Frost, Jack Malloy and Jim Sullivan,
posting a two best ball net score of 17 Under Par. They edged out the Algonquin team of Pro
Brett Moomey, with teammates Jamie Sheffield, Mike Maher and Norm Toon, who recorded a
score of 16 Under Par. The defending Champions from 2022, from host Old Hickory, including
Pro Caleb Willems, and teammates Gary Hill, Joe Amlong, and Greg Ewald finished third at 14
Under Par.
In the Pro competition, Algonquin’s Brett Moomey used his course knowledge from his tenure
at Old Hickory, to accumulate 48 Stableford Points to beat Bellerive’s Mike Tucker by a point at
47 points. Quincy’s Jon Roberson continued his fine District play, coming in third with 46
points.
